We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role offers professional growth, exposure to mechanical ventilation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Nights include 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
ResponsibilitiesPerform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressures.
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory therapy needs and responses.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
Assist with placement and management of artificial airways and mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patient response to therapy and intervene during emergencies.
Transport ventilator-dependent patients safely within the facility.
Respond to emergent situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
QualificationsRequired
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and state licensure.
Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree or equivalent).
BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
PALS of start date.
New graduates welcome if boards are passed or pending, with no prior experience.
Preferred
Experience in acute care, ICU, or high-acuity respiratory therapy.
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-focused skills.
Comfort with ventilator management and emergency interventions.
Hourly and tenure.
$15,000 sign-on bonus; relocation assistance considered case by case.
