Are you a creative and strategic professional with a passion for social media? At Ligonier Ministries, we’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our team. Here, you’ll combine your love for engaging content with a commitment to excellence for the glory of God. By leading our organic social media strategy and collaborating with our team, you will help expand our reach and advance the mission of Ligonier Ministries.

In this role, you will develop and execute social media strategies and adapt content for various platforms. You will also engage with our online community to support Ligonier's mission and ensure our message reaches as many people as possible.

This position is located in Sanford, FL, and our preference would be to see you in person every day. However, we'd be willing to talk about a remote arrangement if we really love your work and you don't want to move to the Sunshine State

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the team to prepare engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, X).
  • Develop and execute social media strategies that align with Ligonier's mission, supporting brand growth, and engagement goals.
  • Deploy daily social media content across Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, and X.
  • Work closely with the content and creative teams to adapt, repurpose, and optimize written, visual, and video content for social media.
  • Serve as a player-coach, providing both high-level strategy and hands-on implementation to ensure the success of our social media initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the growth of reach and engagement, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • In coordination with our Care Team, engage with our community and monitor comments to foster a positive and active online presence for Ligonier Ministries.
  • Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support live events, timely posts, or community engagement.
  • Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably within a mission-driven or nonprofit organization.
  • Proven track record of growing organic reach and engagement on one or more social media platforms.
  • Familiar (or certified) with major social media scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social and Hootsuite.
  • Demonstrated skills in one or more of the following areas: copywriting, graphic design, or short-form video production.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Linked In, Instagram, and Facebook, and comfortable adapting content for these channels.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with analytical skills to optimize content and engagement strategies.
  • Biblical or seminary training is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for Ligonier's mission and commitment to using social media to further its reach.
  • Commitment to Reformed theology and ability to affirm the Ligonier Ministries Core Statement of Faith.
  • Passionate about Christian discipleship and spreading the message of the gospel.
  • This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.

    The pay range for this position is $54,000 - $65,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
