Overview

Project Accountant Manager job at Souder Masonry & Concrete. Sanford, FL. Project Accountant-Manager:
Sanford, Florida. Pay Rate: $50,000- $60,000.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that construction projects stay on budget and meet financial goals.
  • Manage the accounts of a company’s construction project.
  • Collaborate with project managers to process monthly draws.
  • Audit payables, estimate cash flow, and maintain receivables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners (AR), Vendors and Suppliers.
  • Stay current with construction and accounting industry practices including lien laws.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining construction project accounting files.
  • Understand project accounting principles.
  • Monitor project compliance and financial regulations for Subcontractors and General Contractors.
  • Understand Florida’s Lien Rights & NTOs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, time management and communication; prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively as part of the accounting department and collaborate with project managers to meet project objectives.
  • Knowledge of contract billing requirements.
  • Maintain high accuracy in recording transactions (AIA billing for Subcontractors & General Contractors).
  • Manage collections and lien waivers.
  • Prepare liens.
  • Handle Subcontractor change orders and back charges.
  • Manage Accounts Payables (Subcontractors and Suppliers).
Qualifications
  • Understanding in project accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Florida’s Lien Rights & NTOs.
  • Attention to detail, time management and communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective teamwork within the accounting department.
  • Knowledge of contract billing requirements.
