Position: Medication Technician (Friday and Saturday NOC Shift)

Medication Technician (Friday and Saturday NOC Shift)

Schedule: Friday and Saturday 10pm-6am Shift

What will I do every day?
  • Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator, Dementia Care Coordinator, or appropriate physician
  • Assist residents with simple requests or refer to an associate if needed
  • Learn resident preferences to provide exemplary customer service and enhance satisfaction
  • Document and report changes in condition using company forms
  • Provide medication set‑up and assistance
  • Log medications from pharmacies, verify physician orders, and communicate concerns immediately
  • Track all medications and reorder as needed
  • Perform resident tasks: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities
  • Follow regulatory and company policies for medication destruction as directed by physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director
  • Assist in documenting and removing medications discontinued by the physician
  • Familiarize with medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms related to medication administration
  • Support, lead, and participate in resident‑centered wellness programs
  • Work toward maintaining each resident’s self‑respect, personal dignity, and personal safety
  • Assist resident assistants as needed after completing primary tasks
  • Track supplies needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC
  • Collaborate effectively within the department and across the community
  • Support open and honest communication with all associates
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • Identify ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies daily
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to all regulations, laws, and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook
  • Understand and support the community sales process
  • Perform other related duties as required
What will I need to be successful in this role?

  • Completed Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required)
Special Requirements /Certifications I may need?
  • Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements)
  • Have current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Have completed required training and/or certification for assisting with medications per state regulations
  • Must be knowledgeable of pertinent regulations with monitoring and licensing of the residence
  • Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based/custom applications
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
