BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies. As a Production Molding Operator – DMT I, you will work in a clean‑room or laboratory manufacturing environment to support injection molding presses, ensuring quality molded components for downstream equipment.
Job Description SummaryA Shift – 12‑hour rotating shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM). The schedule is 7 days in a 14‑day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off). The operator reports directly to an assigned Operations Leader and is responsible for material handling, light product inspection, and housekeeping for a set of injection molding presses.
Responsibilities- Package, label, and handle product, moving it to specified locations.
- Perform limited product visual and manual inspections.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all products produced in the department and their quality specifications.
- Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly, complying with good manufacturing practices.
- Work optimally in a team with limited supervision.
- Understand and interpret controlled documents, including work instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
- Notify CILL and DMT I’s of any equipment issues.
- Assist molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
- Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Preferably 0–1 year in a manufacturing environment, particularly injection molding presses (electric or hydraulic).
- Position is in a clean‑room or laboratory manufacturing environment.
- Physical demands include frequent standing, occasional sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, walking, pushing/pulling, and repetitive motion of hands and fingers.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs; frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs.
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, temperature fluctuations, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, cleaning compounds, solvents, and moderate to loud noise.
- Requires normal field of vision (20/40) and adequate hearing. PPE such as safety glasses, face mask, hearing protection, safety shoes, hair/ beard net, and smock must be worn.
