Job Family Technician-Behavioral
OverviewThis position serves in a residential treatment center for adults with substance use disorders and other mental health disorders. The position works closely with the therapist and medical teams to ensure clients have a safe, empathetic, and trauma-informed environment that fosters healing and long-term change.

Salary: $25-27 per hour
Location:
Float (Sandy & Millcreek)
** Friday 11am-8pm, Sat/Sun 8am to 8pm, Monday 10am-5pm **
The following job description is not inclusive of all job responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Director of Operations and HR Director to hire, interview and onboard new support staff
- Oversee the Support Staff schedule to ensure all shifts are covered
- Work directly with the Director of Operations to train and orient new support staff
- Work directly with the Director of Operations to ensure continuous training and compliance for support staff
- Supervise and support the clients while maintaining professional boundaries on and off site during your shift
- Understand and abide by medication management policies and procedures
- Complete chores and other tasks listed on the daily task list
- Actively participate in handoff communication at the beginning and end of your shift
- Understand all emergency procedures and processes
- Conduct room searches during each shift
- Orient new clients of schedule and house policies and procedures (if needed)
- Conduct UA’s and/or breathalyzers as directed by counselors and/or Program Director
- Document incidents and events according to policy and procedure
- Sign and abide by the Code of Conduct provided by the Department of Human Services
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Active/valid driver’s license without DUI’s or serious moving violations within last 3 years
- Must be able to pass a federal background check through the Department of Human Services (Violent/Sexual/Predatory charges and/or convictions will result in denial of background check)
- Preferred:
Minimum 1 year working in treatment setting - 1 year + experience working with the public in a customer-service related position
- 1 year+ experience managing small teams
- 1 year+ in addiction or mental health support
