Job Purpose
The Junior Accountant supports the Finance & Accounting team by assisting with accounts payable, financial reporting, and acquisition onboarding activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with the integration of newly acquired agencies.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Financial Processing- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper approvals and coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and assist with weekly or bi-weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires).
- Maintain organized accounts payable files and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update Excel-based schedules for reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist with monthly close activities, including reconciliations and schedules.
- Support ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
- Assist with financial onboarding of newly acquired agencies.
- Support vendor, banking, and accounting process transitions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect financial documentation.
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support.
- Maintain effective working relationships across teams.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute positively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or in progress.
- 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Compensation is based on the experience, engagement type, and scope of work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
