Position:
Temporary Campus Monitor
1.0 FTE / 8 hours per day Monday - Friday
Job StatementThe purpose of the Campus Monitor is to provide for the safety and welfare of students during classroom and non‑classroom activities; minimizing the frequency and/or severity of harmful incidents and/or incidents that have a potential impact on the general wellbeing of students, school personnel, and/or visitors.
Qualifications- A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Possess the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Have a desire to assist students and staff in maintaining a positive atmosphere both inside and outside the school facility
- When necessary and with proper training ability to restrain individuals
- Demonstrate good oral communication skills with adults and students
- General knowledge of District and school policies and procedures
- Complete State Security Certification training
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds in English, Spanish, or other languages related to the job.
- The ability to work harmoniously with others
- Maintain self-control at all times and to react quickly and calmly under emergency conditions
Range: $20.39 - $25.83
