Position Overview

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong background in Orthopedic Surgery to provide full‑time locum tenens coverage across multiple Atlanta‑area specialty centers. This role supports a busy orthopedic practice treating a mix of Hand, Joint, and Sports Medicine patients in a high‑volume outpatient setting.

Providers will work alongside orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal care, perform evaluations, manage follow‑ups, and assist with in‑clinic procedures as credentialed. The assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Compensation

• $160 Per Hour

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with orthopedic conditions involving hand, joint, and sports‑related injuries
• Conduct new patient assessments, follow‑up visits, and post‑operative evaluations
• Perform in‑clinic procedures as credentialed (splinting, injections, wound care, etc.)
• Review imaging, labs, and diagnostics to support treatment planning
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, PT/OT teams, and support staff
• Document all encounters in Epic in accordance with Kaiser Permanente standards
• Provide occasional coverage at Cumberland and Stonecrest locations as needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Orthopedic specialization or significant orthopedic experience required
• Active Georgia license
• Proficiency with Epic is preferred
• Strong musculoskeletal assessment and procedural skills
• Ability to manage a high‑volume outpatient caseload (approx. 21 patients per shift)
