A Bit About UsWe are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Income Tax Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your expertise in tax laws and regulations, specifically concerning 1120S. You will be instrumental in managing and overseeing our firm's income tax planning, compliance, and risk management.

- Manage all aspects of income tax planning, compliance, and risk management.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Provide expert advice on tax laws and regulations, particularly those concerning 1120S.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide clear and concise recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that these changes are appropriately reflected in our tax policies and procedures.
- Manage and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, representing the firm in any tax-related discussions or disputes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, MST, or JD/LLM in Taxation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in income tax management, preferably in the legal industry.
- Proficient in 1120S and other relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Proficient in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
- A deep understanding of the legal industry and its unique tax implications.
