Lead Preschool Teacher

We are looking for a qualified Lead teacher to join our teaching family. We have been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs/Peachtree Corners area for 50 years.

This is a part‑time position. Hours are M-F 8:45-1:30, with paid school holidays and breaks. We follow Dekalb county’s school calendar for holidays and school breaks. If you have a preschool‑aged child, we offer discounted tuition for staff.

We are seeking a teacher to offer instruction in a variety of educational activities, including arts and crafts, free play and storytelling. Our lead teacher will be helping students learn the fundamental concepts they need to grow and advance through our preschool at an age‑appropriate level.

• Bachelor’s Degree (Education and Early Childhood Education a bonus but not required)
• Past experience teaching children in this age group
• Ability to educate with age‑appropriate language and teaching methods
• Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy
• Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children
• Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons
• Familiarity using computers, applications, software, and hardware
• Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be flexible
• Must have excellent communication skills with colleagues and parents
