Seasonal Maintenance Garage Mechanic

Salary: $21.70/hr the Garage Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the company vehicle fleet and equipment in a safe and reliable condition as directed. They will also respond to guest service calls in a professional and courteous manner and are responsible for various equipment repairs as directed by the foreman.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles or equipment.
• Operate tow truck for service calls and have knowledge and skill to tow vehicles safely.
• Operate service truck in response to guest issues including vehicle lock outs, flat tires, out of gas, etc.
• Provide exceptional guest service according to Cedar Point standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, or giving directions.
• Able to perform related automotive and light truck service work as directed.
• Be willing to work any shift or day assigned.
• Have adequate tool selection to perform basic repairs and service work.
• Know how to operate 4 or 8 ton wreckers and tow vehicles safely.
• Follow all company safety rules and policies, ensure equipment is properly secured before performing maintenance work.

• Must have a driver's license.
• High school graduate or GED.
• ASE in auto (preferred).
• Must join laborers union if necessary.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
• Ready to work in confined areas: exposure to chemicals, lubricants, and fumes.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Must pass a mandatory (or random) drug test per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Must pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
