Job Responsibilities:
The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for coordinating employee health services, nursing education, and orientation programs to ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care. This role also supports the recruitment and onboarding of licensed nursing staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain employee health records and administer TB screenings, Hepatitis B, and influenza vaccinations
Coordinate pre-employment physicals and drug screenings
Track employee illnesses and report information to the Safety Team
Plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing education, in-services, and competencies
Manage annual education requirements through Relias and obtain CEU accreditation as needed
Coordinate and lead New Employee and Nursing Department Orientations
Assist with the recruitment and hiring of RNs and LPNs
Ensure compliance with CHI Living Communities, regulatory, and accrediting requirements
Job RequirementsExperience in staff development or nursing education preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
