RN, Charge Nurse – 4N/Med Surg/Peds (PT 7a-7p Weekend Only)
Location: Firelands Health, Sandusky, OH – a top independent healthcare employer serving the Sandusky Bay region.
Work Hours: Two 12‑hour shifts scheduled every weekend (24 h/unit). You will be paid for 32 h, so you can manage personal life while advancing your career.
About the Role: Under the direction of the Unit Director, you will deliver quality nursing care to acutely ill patients in Med‑Surg/Peds units using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will interact with patients, families, and the health team, maintain professional standards, and complete all required data collection and reporting.
What You Will Do- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Follow the Q.A. plan and complete all aspects of data collection, trending, evaluation, and reporting.
- Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
- Current hospital experience within the past five years (or new nursing graduate within the past two years). If not meeting this requirement, proof of successful graduation from an approved refresher course must be provided.
- Knowledgeable about the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a pertinent clinical specialty preferred.
- Service orientation and previous management experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification (recertified bi‑annually). Unit‑specific requirement: PALS.
