Job DescriptionPosition Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on supporting 3rd‑5th grade students who are struggling readers, with a specific caseload of 5th‑grade students. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading intervention strategies and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies for struggling readers across 3rd to 5th grades.
- Provide individual and small group instruction tailored to students' specific needs.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure academic growth.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies into daily instruction.
- Maintain detailed records of students' progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading intervention.
- Manage a specific caseload of students, providing comprehensive support to meet their unique learning needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Reading, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in special education.
- Proven experience working with elementary school students, specifically in reading intervention.
- Strong understanding of literacy development and effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
