Position: Elementary Music Teacher (K-5)

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree

* Valid Ohio certificate for subjects taught in positions assigned.

* Committed to a focus on learning within a collaborative, results-driven culture

* Exhibit strong communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.

* High level of interest in teaching and a commitment to being an outstanding educator.

* Demonstrate the ability to incorporate the Ohio Learning Standards for Music into daily instruction, promoting skills such as musical literacy, creative expression, and cultural appreciation.

* Ensure familiarity with Ohio's Learning Standards for Music, focusing on the critical areas of creating, performing, and responding to music.

* Possess the ability, or a willingness to lead student performances for parents and the community based on seasonal themes, theatrical plays, or cultural connections.

* Demonstrate effective classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment

* Criminal Records Check must be provided.

* Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.

* Other qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable may also be considered.

* Demonstrates Danbury Core Values of Leadership, Accountability, Kindness, Excellence, Relationship, and Service

* 21st Century Learning Skills, including integration of technology within the educational environment.

* Knowledge of the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES).

* Experience working with young people and a genuine interest in supporting their growth and development
