Job Summary:

Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join their team in Gauteng, focusing on electricity metering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electricity metering systems and be responsible for ensuring the accurate installation, maintenance, and functioning of electricity meters. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
– Implement and Document Processes
– Analyse Applications and Provide Recommendations
– Provide Support and Training to Staff
– Client Liason and Resource Management
– Install, commission, and maintain electricity meters in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
– Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure accurate meter readings
– Investigate and troubleshoot any issues related to electricity metering systems
– Collaborate with other team members to implement new metering technologies and solutions
– Provide technical support and training to customers and colleagues as needed
– Keep accurate records of meter installations, maintenance, and repairs
– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Networking or other Technical related fields.
– Experience in smart metering or other Technical Roles.
– 3+ years of experience in electricity metering or a similar technical field
– Strong knowledge of electricity metering systems and technologies
– Familiarity with industry regulations and standards
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
