Red Ember is recruiting an Onsite IT Support Technician on behalf of our client based in Sandton to join their team.
The ideal candidate will require strong technical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent our company professionally.
Provide daily onsite support to end users. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain and support Windows desktops and related infrastructure. Assist with user account administration through Active Directory. Support email systems and ensure mail flow functionality. Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical users. Ensure professional conduct when dealing with the client’s staff and environment. Maintain clients environment and uptime.
Requirements- 3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience, specifically within Microsoft-based environments.
- Proven experience providing end‑user desktop support for a network of approximately 50 users.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including:
- Windows Server
- Windows 11 desktops
- Active Directory (user management, group policies, permissions)
- Windows File Server environments
- Level 1 desktop support experience, including troubleshooting and resolving OS, application, and hardware issues.
- Solid desktop hardware knowledge. Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 email environments.
- Good grasp of networking fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
