MS Engineer L1

The MS Engineer (L1) hybrid role is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution. Their primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement conditions. The engineer focuses on first line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect and prevent incidents.
• Effectively communicate, and escalate if necessary, complex technical issues to a broad range of customers.
• Supervise in real time the alarms and specific events occurred on every platform.
• Attend to consults and claims related to monitoring.
• Registry and resolution of incidents.
• Take ownership of customer issues of Tier 1 level and see problems through to resolution.
• Execute standard changes for customer request fulfilment.
• Support upper Tiers in the deployment of new solutions
• Participates in architecture and software development activities
• Uses coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow

• Diploma, degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing
• Up to date and relevant ITIL certification
• Dev Ops experience
• Sound knowledge & understanding of Microsoft, Azure, AWS & linux
• 3 - 5 years experience in Linux
• 1-2 years experience in AWS & Azure
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certifications
