We are a well-established, upmarket group psychology/psychiatry practice based in Bryanston, Sandton, seeking a registered Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. Psych Central is an innovative practice committed to thinking creatively and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. This is a full‑time/part‑time hybrid role for a Psychiatrist based in Bryanston, Sandton. The position involves providing psychiatric care and support to individuals across a variety of needs, with flexibility to work both remotely and on‑site. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing support for adolescents and adults.

The psychiatrist will also contribute to breaking the stigma around mental health through compassionate care and awareness.

Bryanston, Sandton

Flexible or 9:00 – 17:00, depending on availability.

• Permanent consulting room in a professional, modern practice.
• Full administrative support including bookings and scheduling, billing and payments, client communication and reminders.
• Client referrals from our existing psychology practice of over 30 psychologists.
• Marketing support: promotion of your services and management of your online profile on our website.
• Revenue‑share model – we charge clients a rate of R3,600 for intake sessions (90 min) and R1,600 for follow‑up sessions (30 min); the psychiatrist is paid 75% per consultation.

• Proficiency in Psychiatry and Psychiatric Care.
• Experience in adolescent/adult psychiatry and addressing mental health concerns.
• Strong medical knowledge and expertise in the field of medicine.
• Ability to provide personalized mental health treatment and support.
• License to practice psychiatry and board certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practices.
• Familiarity with hybrid working environments is a plus.
