Job Purpose

The role of the Senior Compliance and Risk Manager is to support the Group Compliance and Risk Officer in his role to maintain and operate a mature compliance program within the Group, take the lead regarding compliance initiatives, provide guidance, assist with the managing of the Group Risk function and manage activities of junior resources.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance

  • Carry out and oversee detailed information gathering, analysis and other activities with the objective to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks within the Group. For this purpose, extensive interaction with other subsidiaries and functions are expected.
  • Draft compliance-related internal policies and procedures at a company and a Group level.

Compliance and Risk

  • Day to day coordination of activities including mainly compliance related projects driven by the compliance and risk function. This may include ad hoc functions.

Compliance/Training

  • Guide and oversee junior compliance staff utilised in compliance activities.

Compliance/Regulatory Universe Monitoring

  • Perform research into various compliance topics, including for example new and existing regulations which could have an impact for the Group and/or subsidiaries, best practices and assess implications for the Group.
  • This will also include informing/guiding management of changes/ additions to their respective regulatory universes and how to mitigate compliance risks, if any.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Assist in managing and coordinating responses with respect to enquiries from regulatory bodies.

Group/Subsidiary Reporting

  • Preparing and presenting compliance and risk related reports at Group and subsidiary board level.

Training

  • Provide practical support with development and execution of internal trainings and communication of compliance and risk related topics throughout the Group.

Risk

  • Assist with the management/updating and monitoring of the Group risk function.
  • Manage and administer the organization's risk management programs, ensuring effective implementation of policies and procedures to monitor and minimize risk exposure based on the Group’s risk appetite.
  • Ideally been involved in the rolling out of a enterprise-wide risk system and training of management in the use of such system.
