Financial Manager - Mining; Newly Qualified CA​/SA

As the Financial Manager (Newly qualified CA) in the mining sector, you will form part of the team that will oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting, while ensuring compliance with IFRS and mining regulations. This includes being responsible for cost control, managing inventory and fixed assets, cash flow management, and providing strategic financial advice to senior management.

• Financial Control & Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and board packs.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and maintain rolling forecasts, including Life of Mine financial models.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to IFRS, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Operational Support: Work with mine management to analyze costs, investigate anomalies, and optimize operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor finance staff, including accountants and payroll personnel.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (SAICA or international equivalent).
• Minimum 1-3+ years of post-articles experience, with strong preference for previous roles in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, MD365) and advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of mining-specific cost drivers, inventory management, and capital projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach.
