As a Network Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining F5 Networks products and other network security solutions. You will also provide technical expertise in network-based intrusion detection systems (IDS), IPS, AIS, Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and other related areas such as SSL/TLS Validation & Testing;
Firewall Administration;
Load Balancer Management;
Virtual Appliance Management (VAM); VPN Server Administration;
User Authentication Systems (UAS); IDS Logging Services or any other technologies that may become part of the Network Security Platform.
Requirements
- Responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and developing Firewall configuration, performance, and security
- Responsible for updating and maintaining code to support new features and fixes in the F5 products.
- Works with other teams to evaluate methods for improving our network security.
- Provides support for security-related incidents and problem reports.
- Helps ensure that security policies and procedures are properly implemented.
- Manages firewall policies to meet business objectives.
- Creates, reviews, and implements new policy configurations The F5 Networks Security Engineer (SDE) will be responsible for maintaining and improving the security posture of the company's products and systems
- Must be able to troubleshoot and solve enterprise level issues while maintaining strict compliance with product security requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Demonstrated knowledge of networking and/or security technologies and protocols, including: secure network design, computer networks, client/server architecture, configuration management, secure software development practices, ethical hacking and penetration testing.
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a professional position.
- Experience with networking and TCP/IP protocols
- Experience with IPsec VPNs, SSL VPNs, VPLS.
- Familiarity with OSI model.
