Compensation: DOE, starting at $6,500 flat salary for the season, plus tips

Position Summary

The Festival at Sandpoint (FAS) is seeking an experienced and highly organized Bar Manager to oversee bar operations during the 2026 Summer Series. This is a seasonal position, with the majority of the work occurring July 27 – August 13, during which full availability is required. Additional occasional administrative work is required in June and July, leading up to the event.

Key Responsibilities Bar Operations
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of three bar locations within the Festival venue.
  • Ensure bars are stocked and running efficiently throughout the event.
  • Maintain professional and compliant alcohol service standards.
Inventory & Compliance
  • Manage and track all beverage and supply inventory, including ordering beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and bar supplies (cups, napkins, straws, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with Idaho state alcohol laws.
  • Verify volunteer compliance with TIPS certification and FAS Alcohol Service Policy.
  • Schedule and manage 25-40 volunteer bar staff per night.
  • Ensure all shifts are properly staffed.
  • Providing training and on-site leadership.
  • Track volunteer attendance for accuracy and compliance.
Required Experience
  • Bartending experience, including drink knowledge and efficient bar setup.
  • TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the event).
  • Working knowledge of Idaho beer, wine, and liquor laws.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficiency with Square POS.
  • Customer service experience in live music or event settings.
