Aircraft Painter
Job Description SummaryAircraft Painters are responsible for painting aircraft parts and final aircraft exteriors while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe paint booth environment. This position ensures paint work meets all design and quality specifications in accordance with aerospace industry standards.
Job Description(Other duties may be assigned)
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, particularly within the paint booth area.
- Mix primers and topcoat paints according to manufacturer specifications.
- Load, unload, plug, and mask parts in preparation for paint operations.
- Read and interpret job travelers, engineering prints, and other documents to ensure paint is applied in compliance with Type Design requirements.
- Clean and maintain spray guns, workbenches, and other tools and equipment used in painting.
- Communicate the status of expedited parts to downstream teams to support production flow.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including 6-Sigma and 5S practices, to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.

Qualifications & Requirements- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace or automotive painting.
- Aerospace painting experience and familiarity with industry techniques strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet Explorer.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, reading comprehension, and alphanumeric accuracy.
- High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
