Summer - Engineering Intern - Manufacturing

The Mechanical Engineering Intern assists the Sustaining Engineering team in improving the performance and quality of respiratory medical devices through testing, documentation, and design support, working under the guidance of engineering staff.

This is an on-site internship located in Sandpoint,  in late spring/early summer of 2026.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00a.m - 3:30p.m

• Support low-complexity engineering updates or improvements to existing products under engineering supervision.
• Create or revise basic design documentation such as CAD models, drawings, or simple BOM updates.
• Perform engineering analyses (simple tolerance checks, material comparisons, feasibility reviews).
• Assist in testing activities, including setup, data recording, and basic analysis for verification or validation.
• Support root cause investigations or CAPA related tasks by gathering data, documenting findings, or conducting supervised testing.

• High School diploma
• Student currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering Program.
• Technical Curiosity
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software (Solid Works, Creo, or similar) preferred but not required.
