The Role
We are seeking a highly strategic and customer-focused industry expert to join our Industry Business Unit (IBU) team for High-Tech with a focus on the Software Provider Industry.
This role is responsible for driving global industry go-to-market strategy, scaling industry expertise, and serving as a trusted advisor for customers, partners, and various internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge with deep solution knowledge in the industry context with proven experience in customer engagements, GTM strategy execution, and ecosystem collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Industry Go-To-Market Strategy – Planning & Execution
- Own and execute the global industry strategy and business plan in alignment with end-to-end industry product managers.
- Develop and implement industry GTM activities in alignment with global GTM priorities, demand generation plans with DG Hubs in key markets.
- Support account planning for strategic customers and align with key partners on their GTM priorities.
- Identify macro-level growth opportunities and industry trends to drive business outcomes.
- Customer Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Act as a trusted advisor and global “blackbelt” industry expert for executive-level customer engagements.
- Sponsor strategic customer journeys to drive adoption and lifetime success.
- Secure anchor deals and provide C-level support to strengthen customer satisfaction.
- Deliver industry-relevant assets (showcases, demos, references, prototypes, innovations).
- Build and maintain critical global C-level contacts and relationships.
- Build and maintain critical contacts and relationships with strategic partners.
- Industry Expertise Scaling
- Scale expertise globally through enablement content, structured sales planning, and best practices.
- Guide solution content, reference architectures, and learning journeys to ensure industry relevance.
- Collaborate with marketing, media, and analysts to ensure a consistent GTM message.
- Enable internal teams to execute with industry expertise and consistent GTM alignment.
- Support industry kick-off meetings and account planning sessions.
- Collaborate with regional industry advisors, DG Hubs, corporate teams and ecosystem teams on GTM activities.
- Voice of the Customer & Industry Communities
- Gather and prioritize customer feedback to influence global product roadmaps.
- Lead industry councils and multi-customer communities to drive thought leadership and adoption of cloud and AI solutions.
- Represent the company with global stakeholders and analysts to enhance credibility and influence.
- Drive co-innovation with customers, fostering partnerships to accelerate growth and transformation.
- Champion global renewal strategies, ensuring consistent advocacy, messaging, and engagement across industries.
- 10+ years of experience in or supporting customers in High Tech with a focus on Software Provider industry segment
- Demonstrated success in defining and executing impactful GTM strategies in installed base and net new markets. Proven skills in translating strategy into executable plans and drive their successful implementation resulting in anchor deals, pipeline and revenue impact
