QA Automation

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Lead with 15+ years in QA/testing and 5+ years of specialized experience in data integration testing. This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and optimization of QA processes for ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS. The position requires close collaboration with data engineers, Business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity, scalability, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.

Deep expertise in data integration testing, SQL validation, and QA automation is essential. This role requires coordinating and working with onshore, offshore, and nearshore teams.

Candidate should be local and work from one of our offices in San Francisco or San Ramon.

Job Description QA Automation

• Establish and implement a formal QA program for data integration and ETL workflows.
• Build and mentor a QA team to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans for SSIS and ADF pipelines, validating data transformations and load accuracy.
• Define and implement QA automation frameworks for data validation and regression testing.
• Optimize data validation scripts for performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to align QA efforts with project goals.
• Validate data against business rules and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing for ETL jobs and data flows.
• Manage QA configurations and ensure best practices for data quality and governance.
• Support CI/CD workflows using Azure Dev Ops for automated testing and deployment.
• Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer plans for operational teams.

• 15+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 5 years focused on data integration and ETL testing.
• 5+ years of experience testing Snowflake and Azure cloud services (ADF, ADLS, Function App, Batch etc.).
• Strong hands-on experience with SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake & SQL Server) for data validation and query-based testing; solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data migration testing.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops for CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
• Familiarity with investment management domain.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and experience with Playwright or similar automation tools.
• Exposure to API testing for data services is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
