Job Duties

Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and infrastructure on Azure, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP security and compliance requirements. Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates. Automate build, test and deployment pipelines using Azure Dev Ops or similar CI/CD platforms. Develop and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance. Implement and manage CSPM tools to continuously monitor and assess the security posture of our cloud environment.

Collaborate with security teams to define and enforce cloud security policies and standards. Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud governance policies and frameworks, including cost optimization, resource allocation, and access control. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.

Job Requirements

Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the Job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.

Alternatively, may have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the Job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following skills:
  • Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM):
    Implement CSPM tools to monitor and assess cloud security posture.
  • Collaboration on Security:
    Work with security teams to define and enforce cloud security policies and standards.
  • Cloud Governance:
    Contribute to the creation and implementation of governance policies, focusing on cost optimization, resource allocation, and access control.
  • Programming and Scripting Languages including Python.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Container platforms and technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Cloud-native solutions including AWS ECS and Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Monitoring and observability tools including Datadog and Splunk.
  • Incident response methodologies such as Pager Duty and conducting post-incident reviews.
  • Networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and routing.
  • Cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
  • Security best practices such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) including use of tools Git Lab CI/CD and Bitbucket.
