Salary: $7,775.79 - $12,036.96 Monthly ($93,309.48 - $ Annually)

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is seeking a highly motivated individual who desires to provide a high level of support to our District. Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Administrative Analyst I/II with a focus on purchasing goods and services that support all divisions. In this position, you’ll develop and strengthen vendor relationships, ensure contract compliance, and drive cost-effective procurement strategies that align with organizational goals. You will maintain accurate financial and procurement records, provide insights for spending analysis, and identify cost‑saving opportunities to achieve efficiency, compliance, and long‑term value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of detailed and complex professional‑level accounting and analytical work in various program and functional areas.
  • Account, administrate systems, conduct statistical and management analysis, and make recommendations on district wide and divisional issues.
  • Assist in development, analysis, and recommendation of district wide policy and procedures.
  • Assess and analyze annual and mid‑year budget requests/changes, making appropriate recommendations to division heads.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and recommend on policy, administrative, organizational, fiscal, and operating issues, revenue enhancement initiatives, challenges, and impacts across multiple program areas.
  • Coordinate efforts of assigned district divisions, manage special projects, and represent the district in interactions with other divisions, agencies, community groups, or members of the public.
Classification Levels

Administrative Analyst I (Entry Level): Performed independently with detailed instructions and final work reviewed.

Administrative Analyst II (Journey Level): Works with minimal supervision, maintains liaison with line divisions, proactively identifies and communicates solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED and two years of full‑time experience in administrative analyst or equivalent/high‑paying class.
  • Bachelor’s degree with two years of verifiable full‑time professional‑level analytical work in one or more of the following: administrative policy analysis, legislative analysis, economic analysis, budgetary analysis, complex financial/fiscal analysis and reporting, contract/grant management.
  • Master’s or higher with one year of verifiable full‑time professional‑level analytical work in similar areas.
Special Requirements
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.
  • May be assigned lead responsibilities for short‑ or long‑term projects.
  • May serve as lead analyst for support of the district wide budget system.
Other Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
