Tax Preparer

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Tax Preparer to join our client in San Ramon, California. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a boutique accounting firm, where you will contribute to diverse tax preparation projects and build long-term expertise in the field. As this role is contract to permanent, it provides the chance to transition into a regular position with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Develop income tax projections and create estimated tax payment vouchers.

- Conduct audits and assist in resolving issues with federal and state taxing authorities.

- Perform thorough research on tax-related matters to provide expert recommendations.

- Communicate effectively with clients and tax authorities to address inquiries and resolve concerns.

- Utilize software tools like Intuit Pro Series and Quick Books Online to streamline tax preparation processes.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality client services.

- Assist in preparing partnership and S corporation tax returns.

- Support ongoing compliance with federal and state tax regulations.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

- Proven experience in tax preparation, with at least two seasons of prior tax work.

- Familiarity with business tax returns, including partnerships and S corporations.

- Proficiency in Intuit Pro Series and Quick Books Online is highly desirable.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members.

- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.

- Interest in working in a boutique accounting firm and pursuing long-term career growth.
