Senior Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support their finance team and drive operational success. In this critical role, you will ensure the company's accounting processes are efficient, financial reports are accurate, and all activities remain in compliance with industry standards and company policies. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, analytical, detail-oriented, and always looking for opportunities to improve processes.

Responsibilities:

+  Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.

+  Analyze financial data to support informed business decision-making.

+ Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company procedures.

+ Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and documentation.

+ Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices.

+ Mentor and support entry level accounting staff.

+ Manage fixed asset accounting and expense allocations.

+ Assist with the implementation or upgrade of accounting systems.

Requirements

+  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

+ Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment. Strong understanding of general ledger systems and accounting principles.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software.
