** Our Servers:  Essential functions & responsibilities
**** Resident Meal Service
*** Creates a warm, positive dining atmosphere through excellent customer service.
* Presents menus to residents, explains daily meal options, and provides suggestions as needed.
* Answers questions about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
* Records food orders accurately and relays them to the kitchen.
* Delivers meals and beverages promptly, ensuring appropriate temperatures are maintained.
* Observes residents to identify and fulfill additional needs or requests.
* Assists residents with salad and breakfast bar selections and delivers trays as necessary.
** Dining Room Operations
*** Clears, cleans, and resets tables efficiently for upcoming meal services.
* Supports daily dining room setup, including coffee brewing, dessert portioning, and soup or salad bar preparation.
* Follows established food service policies and infection control procedures.
* Always maintains safe and sanitary work areas.

** What you need to succeed:
*** At least 18 years of age.
* Previous server experience highly preferred.
* 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
* Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
* Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
* Must possess or obtain valid First Aid certification within 30 days of hire, as required by Title 22.
* Must obtain a valid California Food Handler Card (or Serv Safe equivalent) within 30 days of hire and maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
