* Actual pay decision based on factors including experience, skills and training**$22.65 - $24.47  Hourly DOE.
*** Our Medication Aide/Med Tech:
*** Prepares and passes medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects or problems to supervisor or physician.
* Documents administration or refusal of medication in required format and style.
* Maintains documentation and communication log in accordance with required procedures, using electronic system when appropriate.
* Reorders meds as needed, following appropriate protocols.
* Following medication policies and procedures is responsible for the delivery, ordering, re-ordering, storage, documentation and destruction of medications.
* Insures that medication is available when needed through on time refills. Orders labs as necessary.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
** What you need to succeed:
*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
* 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
* Successful completion of Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in state, as required.
* Minimum of six months experience in long term care, home care, or a related field.
* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language.
* Current CPR/First Aid certification.
* Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre-employment physical).
