Current Vacancies
  • Adult and Older Adult System of Care (ASOC) – There is one full-time vacancy in the Health & Human Services, Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS) Division for a Program Manager within ASOC. Reporting to the Division Director, this leader provides strategic and operational leadership for five Full-Service Partnership programs supporting adults and older adults living with serious behavioral health conditions.

    Programs promote recovery and community inclusion through comprehensive, wraparound care.
  • Crisis and Justice Involved Division (CJI) – There is one full-time vacancy in the BHRS Division for a Program Manager in the Crisis and Justice Involved Division. The Program Manager oversees the Crisis Continuum (Crisis Stabilization Unit, Mobile Crisis Response Team, Crisis Aftercare Team, and critical incident response) to ensure timely, person-centered, and effective services across Marin County. Reporting to the Division Director, this role advances an integrated crisis system with emphasis on prevention, compassionate care, and equitable access, plus ongoing data and performance reporting for continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team (e.g., Unit Supervisors) and oversee a continuum of services to ensure timely, compassionate, and effective support.
  • Oversee staff supervision and development, fiscal and contract oversight, data-driven program evaluation, and quality improvement.
  • Collaborate across BHRS, other County divisions, and community partners to strengthen service coordination and improve outcomes for clients and families.
  • Support equity, inclusion, person-centered care, and a culture of learning, accountability, and compassion.
  • Contribute to agency-wide initiatives and strategic planning, working with internal leadership and external partners to promote a responsive, recovery-oriented system of care.
Hy  

The department has embraced a hybrid work schedule; some duties may be performed remotely. Successful candidates must be able to report to County facilities on short notice for meetings, assignments, or disaster service work. During the initial probationary period, candidates may work primarily onsite before establishing a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A strong foundation in specialty mental health services relevant to the assignment area; proven leadership in managing and supervising behavioral health programs and staff; ability to develop and implement program goals, meaningful objectives, outcomes, and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to manage complex clinical or personnel-related issues; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience developing collaborative relationships with community-based organizations; political acumen to balance competing priorities.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment with flexibility, creativity, and accountability. Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local policies affecting service delivery. Skilled in translating data into action and mentoring leaders.
  • Commitment to equity, person-centered care, continuous improvement, and building a behavioral health system where everyone can heal and thrive.
