The Marin Hilltop Hotel is undergoing a bold transformation into a Tribute Portfolio Hotel — Marriott’s collection of upper-upscale, design-forward boutique hotels. With renovations underway and a grand relaunch planned for January 2026, we are redefining the guest experience to reflect the vibrant and sophisticated spirit of Marin County.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Sales to lead our Sales & Marketing efforts during this exciting transformation and beyond. As the Director of Sales, you will play a key leadership role — guiding a talented team, shaping the property’s positioning, and ensuring the success of our transition into the Tribute Portfolio brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on achieving property sales objectives.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies and promotional initiatives.
  • Work closely with the management team to create a strategic sales plan addressing revenue, customers, and market needs.
  • Provide strong leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential and team performance.
  • Participate in sales calls, client meetings, and community events to acquire new business and strengthen relationships.
  • Analyze market information and implement strategies to achieve financial and catering goals.
  • Ensure outstanding guest service and satisfaction, aligned with brand standards.
  • Mentor and develop the sales team, fostering collaboration and growth.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality Management (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel sales leadership experience (Director of Sales or equivalent).
  • Proven record of achieving sales goals and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Experience with Marriott systems (Sales, Reservations, F&B) is a plus.
