Position: Clinical Coordinator (Spanish-speaking)

Location:San Rafael, CA
Title:BH Clinical Coordinator
Reports to:Clinical Director
Hourly Compensation:$28.00 per hour
This is a contract-to-hire position

Position Overview:

Our leading healthcare nonprofit client is hiring a BH Clinical Coordinator. This role combines 50% administrative and 50% coordination responsibilities, focusing on managing patient care and facilitating communication among providers and agencies. You will also assist the Clinical Director with scheduling and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Front Office (40%)

  • Admit patients and maintain patient flow.
  • Answer clinic calls and handle check-in/check-out processes.
  • Enter patient information into the EHR system.
  • Schedule appointments, collect payments, and verify insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Referral Coordination (50%)

  • Manage and track patient referrals to specialists.
  • Request and process medical records.
  • Assist with transportation arrangements for patients.
  • Address patient needs and barriers to care (e.g., insurance, social services).

Administrative Support (10%)

  • Assist the Clinical Director with calendar management, meetings, and expense tracking.
  • Support filing, paperwork, and internal organization.
  • Participate in administrative meetings and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Negative TB test and COVID-19 vaccination required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting (reception or patient coordination).
  • Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal insurance.
  • Experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 codes is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • High school diploma required; medical/clinical experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
