We are currently seeking a Middle School Spanish teacher who is passionate about our mission and eager to take on a range of responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Teach Spanish to 6, 7th, and 8th-grade students in an independent Jewish day school
- Plan and deliver curriculum for beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish classes in a developmentally appropriate manner, with a strong emphasis on differentiating instruction and utilizing assessments effectively.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment by engaging in supportive interactions with students and establishing clear expectations for community behavior.
- Employ a diverse range of instructional modalities to effectively teach Spanish.
- Integrate various technology tools to enhance Spanish instruction and engagement.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and staff members.
- Articulate and exemplify the school’s mission and core values.
- Adhere to and support school policies.
- Be a positive and contributing member of the professional community.
- Bachelor’s degree required, in subject matter preferred.
- Fluency in modern Spanish.
- Teaching credential or Master's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of teaching in an independent school setting is preferred.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
- Collaborative work ethic
- Good sense of humor and warm demeanor
The school offers competitive compensation ($50,000 - $60,000) based on prior experience, education, and position requirements.
