ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.
Reliability and prompt attendance are necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required. If you do not respond to our contact attempts or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule.
After that, the myTime app is where you can pick up desired shifts.
- Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness.
- Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.
THE ROLE & SKILLS As a Guest Advocate, you will develop skills including customer interaction, problem solving, adaptability, and knowledge of store offerings and loyalty programs to support guest needs.
- Communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience.
- Blending problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns.
- Adapting to different guest interactions and situations.
- Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services.
Typical Day Responsibilities
- Deliver the service standard and create a welcoming guest experience.
- Assist guests by addressing needs, solving issues, and using store tools and services.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve guest questions and guide them to enrollment or activation when needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Minimize guest wait times while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Explain and promote Target Loyalty benefits and available fulfillment services.
- Assist with Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests; support returns and related processes per policy.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during open hours.
- Operate with safety, ethics, and compliance at all times.
