District Manager
Public Storage, established in 1972, seeks a District Manager passionate about operational excellence, customer experience and sales. The role involves leading multi‑unit locations, motivating teams, and executing company strategies.
Annual Compensation Pay Range: $119,000 - $135,000. Equity grant at end of year and participation in company stock program.
Responsibilities- Recruit, motivate and retain a dedicated team of customer‑facing frontline employees.
- Drive the team with effective communication and coaching on customer service and sales strategies.
- Manage physical assets, repair and maintenance systems, vendor management, and cleanliness standards.
- Oversee delinquent tenant processes including auctions, coaching team to reduce delinquency rates and improve retention.
- Conduct monthly property audits ensuring operational standards and safety compliance.
- Provide a welcoming environment via facility maintenance and vendor management.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly in a professional manner.
- Analyze business metrics to identify trends, develop strategies and capitalize on opportunities in the district.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and team members.
- Ability to relocate for growth opportunities.
- Demonstrated leadership in building, developing, and retaining high‑performing teams of non‑exempt employees in retail, service or related industry.
- Proven record of top‑tier performance.
- Experience managing operational audits and payroll budgets.
- Exceptional communication and time‑management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Passion for sales and customer service excellence.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Weekend availability by telephone.
- Required to work five Saturdays per year during peak season.
- $135,000 first year total compensation opportunity including base, guaranteed quarterly bonus and restricted stock units.
- Second year bonus potential increase to $20,000 performance‑based bonus.
