Position Summary:

We are seeking a service‑oriented IT Manager to lead the day‑to‑day technology operations of our organization. This role is responsible for managing IT help desk support, network infrastructure, storage, backup and recovery, print services, and other core operational functions. Working closely with our COO/CFO, the IT Manager will help evolve our IT strategy while strengthening the reliability, security, and effectiveness of our technology environment.

This is a highly hands‑on role, serving as the primary internal technology leader who balances daily operational support with long‑term planning, cybersecurity awareness, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset, values trusted vendor partnerships and is motivated by enabling employees to do their best work through dependable, well‑designed technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary internal technology owner, leading and overseeing day‑to‑day IT operations while providing hands‑on support across systems, infrastructure, and end‑user technology.
  • Provide day‑to‑day direction, prioritization, and coaching for a part‑time IT help desk technician, ensuring consistent coverage, responsiveness, and service quality.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high‑priority technical issues across end‑user devices, systems, collaboration tools, and audio‑visual environments.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support requests and maintain high service standards for employees and executives.
  • Own the organization’s day‑to‑day cybersecurity posture, including endpoint security, identity and access management, patching, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
  • Partner with MSP and security vendors to assess risk, remediate findings, and continuously strengthen security controls and resilience.
  • Act as application owner for core business systems (e.g., productivity tools, CRM, board portals, family portal, and document management systems).
  • Lead software evaluations, implementations, integrations, renewals, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with leadership to translate business and operational needs into practical, scalable technology solutions.
  • Manage and support audio‑visual systems for board meetings and company meetings, including setup, testing, and live troubleshooting in both office and external event spaces.
  • Manage IT budget planning and forecasting, including hardware, software, and vendor services.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance to ensure reliability, value, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date documentation for systems, processes, configurations, and security procedures.
  • Manage IT assets by tracking hardware and software inventory, conducting regular audits, and forecasting equipment needs.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate and responsibly deploy AI‑enabled tools that improve productivity, security, and decision‑making.
  • Lead IT initiatives and projects from planning through execution, coordinating internal resources and external partners as needed.
  • Support user enablement by leading IT‑related communications, training, and adoption efforts to ensure employees effectively use available tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • CCNA, CCNP and Microsoft certifications are preferred but not required
