DevOps Engineer, AWS Expert

ICE Client has scaled fast with this Dev Ops role becoming a critical addition to our engineering team.

Your mission will be to take control of our already sizable AWS infrastructure using your AWS and Python Automation Dev Ops talents to both optimize what we have and prepare us for massive growth.

Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to help us connect our cloud infrastructure to the world of advanced electronics: where the cloud meets IoT.

Finally, in the spirit of Dev Ops you will be embedded with talented developers to streamline our entire engineering cycle. Plus we will let you play with all the latest toys, we are big on Docker and Ansible to name a just a few.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage (Hands On!) our expansion on AWS and be the go to person for scalability and availability concerns
• Lead our systems management and optimization efforts, working across groups to keep us sharp
• Work closely with experts in data science, CV/ML, and software to simply get stuff done

• Expert working with AWS, managing tens to hundreds of servers on AWS
• Advanced knowledge of automation frameworks such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
• Solid Python, Puppet, and/or BASH scripting for automation
• Background in relational database technologies (Postgres is preferred)
• Understanding of network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, ARP, BGP, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or LXC (Docker Preferred)

Plusses:

• Experience with Cassandra or another No

• Familiarity with Raspberry Pi
