Medical Receptionist (Full Time/Part Time) - San Mateo

Busy Medical Practice seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist. This is an in-office part time position. Position offers paid time off and paid Holidays after 90 days of hire. Minimum one year experience within a multi-physician medical practice required.

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Answers telephone, properly and efficiently screens calls, and make appointments when necessary.
• Checks in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record. Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties.
• Maintains patient scheduler and follows office-scheduling policies.
• Insurance benefit verification.
• Obtaining Insurance authorization.
• Maintains files and records in a confidential manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management or physician.

• Knowledge of insurance.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Good problem solving skills.
• Excellent time management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must work quickly, accurately and independently.
• Excellent verbal communication and written communication.

• Able to do insurance verification.
• Knowledge of EPiC system is a plus.
