Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: ~6 months
Responsibilities- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability).
- Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components.
- Identify the need for specialized tooling; guide the special tooling team for design ideation, and development of the tool.
- Provide comprehensive cost/time modeling that showcases opportunities to drive product change that supports the reduction of cost or complexity of the repair.
- Develop service part release strategy and maintain the Service BOM for spare parts planning.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years of engineering experience, ideally with successful experience in mechanical engineering within a service engineering organization.
- Strong 3D CAD experience, CATIA a plus.
- Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols.
