The Position:
The Colleges seek a part-time faculty member in Emergency Medical Care. The ideal candidate will share the Colleges commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.
This position is a 'pool' position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. The District maintains a 'pool' of applications for positions which are needed on an ongoing basis at Caada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience OR the equivalent. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
- Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice both within and outside of the classroom.
- Valid California /Drivers License (or the ability to obtain one).
- Imagetrend Account as required by the County (or the ability to obtain one).
- A valid Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-Basic) License.
- Completion of the NAEMSE Level 1 Instructor Course by start date.
