About the Role

Our UX Design Program Management team is seeking a Sr. Design Program Manager to work with designers, engineers, product management, and other program managers leading Design initiatives and projects throughout the planning, design, and development lifecycle. The role emphasizes planning and prioritization of design outputs, resource management, schedule tracking, mitigating project risks, and collaboration with leads to deliver innovative solutions across work streams.

What

You’ll Do
  • A Subject Matter Expert in Design: You will strategically drive the process while collaborating with designers, writers, and researchers. You will integrate multiple work streams, champion accessibility, deeply integrate with design systems, and ensure design excellence through engineering handoffs and QA.
  • A Trusted Partner: Act as a reliable advisor and design operations point of contact. Partner with design leadership and cross-functional teams to establish and maintain roadmaps aligned with business priorities and strong organizational relationships.
  • Be a Collaboration Motivator: Collaborate with design leaders, designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, and other design program managers. Inspire and motivate others to do their best work.
  • Champion Design Excellence: Cultivate design thinking, plan and lead workshops, and advocate for user-centered design. Refine operational processes, strengthen feedback/learnings, and drive consistency across design teams.
  • Driver of Delivery: Balance problem-solving with operational execution. Own strategic artifacts and drive initiatives to align with the broader business context. Anticipate bottlenecks, manage issues, drive prioritization and planning, support resource management, and track programs to deliver design excellence across cross-discipline teams.

You are a strategic partner who drives the work, not just the process. You know design operations go beyond tools and tracking – it’s about solving root problems.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of design program management experience in technology and creative environments
  • Strong communication with the ability to articulate design and technical requirements clearly and develop strategic communications for various partner groups
  • Track record of delivering large-scale design programs and projects, preferably in partnership with product, engineering, and technical program managers
  • Experience in continuous delivery environments with fast pace and shifting priorities
  • Passion for user experience and design with understanding of the product development process
  • Experience raising issues, making trade-offs, balancing business needs with constraints to improve business impact while delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Experience working across multifaceted problem spaces and asking the right questions to reach better solutions aligned with broader business priorities
  • Relationship-building: develop strong partnerships to guide, inform, or support efforts; demonstrate collaboration, curiosity, humility, and positivity; strong conflict resolution with a diverse range of partners
  • Growth mindset: actively seek feedback and provide clear, constructive feedback to others to support shared success
