Product Manager – District Integrations
IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Product Manager for our District Integrations team. In this role, you will help shape the vision and oversee the execution of integrations that connect IXL to customer platforms such as Learning Management Systems, data warehouses, rostering solutions and more. Your work will ensure that IXL fits seamlessly into classrooms across the country, including many of the biggest school districts in the US.
Location: San Mateo, CA (full‑time, office‑based with one day per week remote).
Seniority Level: Not Applicable.
Employment Type: Full‑time.
Base salary range: $125,000 – $180,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.
AboutThe Role
As the Product Manager for District Integrations, you will connect customer needs with technical development while working cross‑functionally. You’ll engage directly with customers, attend key sales calls and strategic meetings, translate insights into product ideas, partner with engineering to build high‑impact solutions, and engage internal teams to ensure our integrations meet educators’ and administrators’ needs.
What You'll Be Doing- Develop a keen understanding of evolving district needs through participation in key sales and customer meetings.
- Identify and articulate solutions that marry IXL product vision and district needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and company leaders to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for district integrations.
- Think through detailed product requirements and maintain clear documentation; collaborate with engineers, designers, and other PMs as appropriate.
- Partner with engineering leads to maximize success of your product area—managing projects, sprints, vendor relationships, resource allocation, internal communications, and training.
- Effectively communicate priorities and status to a wider business audience, provide suggested customer messaging, and closely monitor post‑launch success.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field.
- 4+ years of product experience, with proven success delivering highly technical product offerings from conception through launch; experience with B2B SaaS integrations strongly preferred.
- Exceptional listener, strong relationship‑builder inside and outside the organization, strong leadership and clear communication.
- Strong analytical skills—ability to provide high‑quality, efficient, creative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Ability to think critically, operate with incomplete information, and explain decisions clearly.
- Highly motivated with a resourceful, “figure‑it‑out” approach.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cross‑functional teams—including engineering, sales, customer support, marketing, design, curriculum, and leadership.
- Familiarity with edtech is a plus.
