Robert Half is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Loan Staff Practice, where professionals are permanent Robert Half employees dedicated to supporting long-term client engagements. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support client accounting teams with day-to-day AP operations while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process high-volume invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and timely

+ Perform three-way matching and resolve invoice discrepancies

+ Maintain vendor records and respond to internal and external inquiries

+ Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, wire, check)

+ Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations

+ Assist with audits by providing documentation and support as needed

+ Collaborate with client accounting, procurement, and finance teams

+ Adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and client environments

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ 2+ years of accounts payable experience

+

Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, Net Suite, SAP, Workday, Great Plains, Quick Books)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Solid Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables a plus)

+ Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in multiple industries or consulting environments

+ Exposure to process improvements or AP automation tools

+ Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,
