Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Loan Staff Practice, where professionals are permanent employees of Robert Half and are dedicated to supporting long-term client engagements. As a Staff Accountant, you will support client accounting teams with core accounting functions, contribute to month-end close processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

+ Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts

+ Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances

+ Support financial reporting and analysis

+ Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation

+ Collaborate with client accounting, finance, and operations teams

+ Adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and client environments

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ 1-3+ years of accounting experience

+ Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close

+

Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Great Plains, Quick Books)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Solid Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables a plus)

+ Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ Experience supporting multiple clients or working in a consulting environment

+ Exposure to audits or public accounting
