This role is for a true front‑of‑house leader, someone who sets the tone, owns the floor, and works in lockstep with the kitchen to deliver a seamless guest experience. We’re looking for a confident, hands‑on team lead who understands that great service starts with strong communication, accountability, and mutual respect across departments.
Key Responsibilities Guest Experience- Create a welcoming, polished environment by leading guest interactions and service standards.
- Address guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with a solutions‑focused mindset.
- Ensure consistency in service, pacing, and presentation throughout each shift.
- Lead, coach, and support café associates including baristas, servers, and cashiers.
- Set clear expectations, hold the team accountable, and lead by example during service.
- Train new hires on service standards, POS systems, and café procedures.
- Partner with management on scheduling to ensure proper coverage and smooth shifts.
- Execute and verify opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures using checklists.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and flow in all front‑of‑house areas.
- Monitor FOH inventory and communicate proactively with the kitchen and leadership team to ensure readiness and efficiency.
- Manage cash handling, till balances, and daily sales reporting accurately.
- Drive sales through menu knowledge, upselling, and guest engagement.
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards without exception.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience:
3+ years in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. > - Operational
Skills:
Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, and shift management. - Knowledge Base:
Solid understanding of food safety, service standards, and hospitality best practices.
Leadership
Skills:
Strong communicator with the ability to motivate, correct, and develop team members.
- Fast‑paced café setting with active, on‑your‑feet leadership.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
